Fees are each school's 2026 compulsory total for senior years as published by the school; what's included (camps, laptops, levies) varies. "Students who shared results" is the share of students who let the school see their ATAR, where the school states it.

Queensland ATARs come out in mid-December. We'll send you one email when this table has each school's Class of 2026 figures.

Schools with some 2025 figures but no median

These schools shared part of their results, usually the share of students scoring 90 or more (across Queensland, 24.98% of ATAR-eligible students did). Schools count different groups of students, so open "What the school published" before comparing. We don't estimate missing figures or take them from other websites.

No 2025 ATAR figures found

We looked on each school's website (results pages, news, newsletters including those on Schoolzine, ePublisher and Issuu) and in its latest annual report, most recently on 22 October 2026, and found no 2025 ATAR figures. Schools aren't required to publish ATARs, and many simply don't, so a school being listed here says nothing about how its students did. Where a school published results in an earlier year, we show the last ones. If it matters to you, ask on a school tour.

How we collected these figures

  1. We checked every Brisbane private school in our directory (93 with Year 12 graduates in 2025; San Damiano College's first Year 12s graduate in 2026), and every state high school with a page on SchoolInsights (44; Brisbane South State Secondary College's first Year 12s graduate in 2026). We also checked newsletters hosted on Schoolzine, ePublisher and Issuu.
  2. We only used each school's own words. Results pages, news releases, newsletters and annual reports published by the school. Tutoring blogs and league-table sites weren't used as sources.
  3. We copied figures exactly. Where a school gave a count instead of a percentage, we kept the count in the notes rather than converting it.
  4. We recorded who was counted. Whole cohort or ATAR-eligible only, how many students shared results, and whether IB results are included.
  5. We marked what's missing. If a school didn't publish a figure, the table shows a dash. If we found nothing for 2025, we say when we checked.

Questions parents ask

What is a median ATAR?

Line up every student's ATAR from highest to lowest; the median is the one in the middle. Half the students scored above it and half below. It's a better guide to a typical student than the top score or the average, which a few results can pull up or down. For comparison, across Queensland in 2025 about half of ATAR-eligible students scored 80 or more (48.92%) and about a quarter scored 90 or more (24.98%), according to QTAC.

Why don't some schools publish a median?

Schools aren't required to publish ATAR results, and the state doesn't release them school by school. Some schools publish full breakdowns every year, some publish only the figures they choose, and some don't publish any. A missing median isn't evidence of a weak year; it's worth asking about on a tour if it matters to you.

Why does another website rank a school that isn't on this page?

Most longer "top Brisbane high schools" lists rank schools by Year 9 NAPLAN results, not ATAR. NAPLAN is published for every school, so those lists can include schools that have never released ATAR figures. Since 2020 the state hasn't released Year 12 results school by school, so any ATAR list, ours included, depends on what schools choose to share. We show only figures a school published, link each one to its source, and list the schools where we found no figures.

Does a higher median mean a better school?

Not on its own. Selective entry, scholarships and family background all shape results. A school with a lower median may suit your child better, and a median says nothing about wellbeing, bullying or how teachers support students who are struggling. That's what our verified reviews cover.

Why are fees shown?

Because most families are weighing results against cost. The fee shown is the school's own senior-years total for 2026. Schools bundle different things into it, so check the school's fee schedule before comparing closely. State schools don't charge tuition fees, so they show no fee.

Which state schools are included?

Every Brisbane state high school with a page on SchoolInsights: 44 with Year 12 graduates in 2025. (Brisbane South State Secondary College's first Year 12s graduate in 2026.) Some state schools, like Queensland Academy for Science Mathematics and Technology, offer the IB Diploma; their results are ATAR equivalents converted from IB scores, and we label them that way.

When will 2026 results be added?

Queensland ATARs are released in mid-December. We'll add each school's 2026 figures within 48 hours of the school publishing them, and keep earlier years so you can see the trend.

Results are one part of the picture. Hear how families found the teaching and support.

Recent graduates and parents describe the teaching, the wellbeing support, bullying, sport and what they wish they'd known before enrolling. Every reviewer is verified with proof they attended.
