Terms of use

These terms apply when you use schoolinsights.com.au, run by School Insights AU (ABN 71 101 552 419) ("we", "us"). By using the site or creating an account, you agree to them. Our privacy policy explains how we handle your information.

What SchoolInsights is

SchoolInsights publishes reviews of schools written by parents and recent graduates. Reviews are the personal opinions and experiences of their authors, not statements of fact by us, and schools change over time. Use them alongside other information, such as visiting the school and its official reports, when making decisions.

Accounts

• A free account lets you read state school reviews. You sign in with a code sent to your email, or with Google.
• Your account is for you and your household. Please don't share your sign-in with others.
• You're responsible for keeping access to your email account secure.

Full Access

• Full Access costs $289 (Australian dollars), paid once. We're not registered for GST, so the price doesn't include GST. It is not a subscription and you won't be charged again.
• It unlocks every review on the site, including private and Catholic schools, for as long as your account is open and we run the review service. It includes new reviews added later.
• Payments are handled by Stripe. Your card details are never shared with us.
• 14-day money-back guarantee. If you change your mind for any reason, email us at hello@schoolinsights.com.au within 14 days of paying and we'll refund you in full, no questions asked. Please send it from the email address on your account. The refund goes back to the card you paid with and usually shows up within 5 to 10 business days.
• When you're refunded, Full Access ends and your account goes back to a free account.
• After 14 days, you still have your rights under the Australian Consumer Law, for example if Full Access doesn't work or isn't as described. Nothing in these terms limits those rights.

Using the reviews

The reviews and the rest of the site are protected by copyright. You're welcome to read them and share what you've learned with friends and family. Please don't:

• copy, republish or sell reviews, in whole or in large part;
• use automated tools to download ("scrape") the site;
• try to get around the account or Full Access restrictions; or
• use the site to harass, identify or contact reviewers, students or staff.

We may suspend or close accounts that break these rules, without a refund where the breach is serious.

Writing a review

When you submit a review you confirm it's your own honest experience, that you have a genuine connection to the school, and that it doesn't name or identify students or make claims you know are untrue. You give us permission to edit it lightly (for length, clarity or to remove identifying details) and to publish it on SchoolInsights. You can ask us to remove your review at any time.

Our responsibility

We work hard to verify reviewers and keep the site accurate and available, but we can't guarantee that every review is complete or up to date, or that the site will always be available. To the extent the law allows, we aren't responsible for decisions made using the site. Where the Australian Consumer Law gives you rights that can't be excluded, those rights still apply.

Changes and contact

We may update these terms. We'll change the date at the top and email account holders about important changes. These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. Questions? Email hello@schoolinsights.com.au.
