Think about factors such as academic quality, technology, life skills, extracurricular activities, or your overall experience. Examples would be helpful.

Share a moment or opportunity that defined your school experience—whether it inspired you, challenged you, or shaped your future.

Did you take tutoring, build an extracurricular profile, or go through a competitive selection process? If you earned a scholarship, what set you apart?

List your grade 12 subjects. Think about how you arrived at those choices - were you particularly good at them, interested in those subjects or trying to get into a certain career? What would you change if you could?

Think about availability of tutoring, teacher support, or peer mentoring.

Think about skills, independence, career advice, practical knowledge and 'life lessons'. Did the school equip you with what you needed to take the next step, or did you feel underprepared? How did school help you become a better person?

Think about whether elective options reflected a variety of interests and career paths. Also consider activities or initiatives that sparked curiosity, character values and creativity, including community service initiatives.

Think about the local area surrounding your school - were there busy roads, dim-lighting or suspicious members of the public near the school? Was bullying an issue at your school and how did your school address this?

What made the memory special to you? Regarding school culture, were these camps or excursions very structured or laid-back? Did people mostly stick to their groups, or was it easy to fit in and make new friends?

What’s something parents wouldn’t know from a school tour? Maybe it was a tradition, an inside joke, or something students had to figure out for themselves.

Think about the quality of coaching, access to competitions, and whether students of all abilities (not just elite athletes) were supported in improving their skills and getting involved in sports.

Think about the variety, accessibility, and frequency of arts-related activities.

Please share the reasons you chose this school for your child and what specific measures you took to send them to this school. Do you feel that the school has met your expectations?

Is there a culture where students' parents tend to meet and get to know each other or is it difficult to meet and form friendships with parents of other students at the school? Are there activities or groups where this can happen easily?

Think about parental involvement in school events (e.g. school formal, performances, ceremonies), communication with the community of parents and responsiveness and resolution of queries and complaints from parents.

If your child is part of a selective sports program, what has their experience been with the expectations and support provided?

How supportive are teachers and resources for these activities? Have there been any notable outcomes like awards or external opportunities?
