Which schools suit what your child loves?
Search for a sport, instrument, subject or worry to see which Brisbane schools people mention it at, and what they said. Tick up to three schools to compare them.

How we work these numbers out
- Order. “Best match” puts schools where your exact word comes up first. “Most talked about” uses the share of reviews that mention it. Neither is a ranking of how good a school is.
- Comes up in X% of reviews is the share of the school's reviews that mention your search. The Brisbane average is the same share across all Brisbane schools.
- Speak well, mixed or raise concerns is worked out by software, using only the sentences about your search. It's right most of the time but not always, so read what people said.
- What students did comes from the sports and activities former students ticked in their review. We show it when at least 3 answered.
- Evidence is strong when 5 or more of at least 10 reviews mention it, some when 2 or more people do, and thin when only one person does.
- Facts such as fees, ATAR and enrolments come from each school's own documents. Fees cover different year levels at different schools, so compare carefully.
- Open Day Reflections come from our visits to 2026 open days. They're useful, but they reflect the school's own voice.

Review Readiness for life after school
By the time I graduated, I felt somewhat prepared for life after high school, especially in terms of academic knowledge and basic skills. The school provided guidance on university applications and career options, which helped with the transition. More importantly, the school placed a strong focus on character development through group projects, leadership roles, and community service opportunities.

Review Readiness for life after school
Didn't feel prepared at all. There were a lot of skills that myself and my peers had to learn in our first year of university that we were not even aware about. Teachers didn't discuss the options we had after high school in detail and a lot of important information was left out. Felt very unstable going into my first year. School didn't do well at preparing other students character as some of them were bullies, which the school enabled, excessive use of foul language, dishonesty and the list goes on.
Review Year 12 subject choices
In Grade 12, I chose subjects like English, Mathematics, Life Sciences, Physical Sciences, and Geography. I selected them because I was interested in science and wanted to keep my options open for careers in health or environmental studies. At the time, these subjects felt like the best fit for my strengths and future goals.
Review Getting extra help
For a student struggling in a core subject, teachers were generally accessible and willing to help. Many offered extra lessons after school or during free periods, and they encouraged students to ask questions whenever they needed clarity. Some subjects also had peer tutoring programs or study groups where students could support one another.
Review Chances to take part in the arts
Opportunities to participate in arts programs, such as music, drama, and visual arts, can vary depending on the location, institution, or community offering them. In general, these opportunities are abundant and accessible at various levels, ranging from local community centers to schools and universities
Review Coaching and chances to compete
My school’s coaches and programs did a good job of developing students’ skills and providing opportunities to compete. There were regular training sessions, and students were encouraged to join sports teams regardless of their skill level, which helped many build confidence over time. For those who were more competitive, the school organized matches with other schools and gave students the chance to participate in district and regional competitions.
Review Year 12 subject choices
I had chosen to take general maths, general english, biology, food & nutrition, general dance, and dance excellence. I had chosen these because some of them were necessary for the university course I wanted to take and others were because i was passionate about the subject. I think I chose my subjects well, I dont regret any of my choices because they were all enjoyable to some extent. My favorite subject was dance excellence because it was the easiest for me to complete and do the work in as I was passionate about dance which made it feel like more of a hobby than a subject to do.
Review Subject range and curiosity
They offered a decent amount but they didn't offer subjects like psychology. Would've benefitted from having this subject available as some students continued to study this course at university.
