How we work these numbers out
  • Order. “Best match” puts schools where your exact word comes up first. “Most talked about” uses the share of reviews that mention it. Neither is a ranking of how good a school is.
  • Comes up in X% of reviews is the share of the school's reviews that mention your search. The Brisbane average is the same share across all Brisbane schools.
  • Speak well, mixed or raise concerns is worked out by software, using only the sentences about your search. It's right most of the time but not always, so read what people said.
  • What students did comes from the sports and activities former students ticked in their review. We show it when at least 3 answered.
  • Evidence is strong when 5 or more of at least 10 reviews mention it, some when 2 or more people do, and thin when only one person does.
  • Facts such as fees, ATAR and enrolments come from each school's own documents. Fees cover different year levels at different schools, so compare carefully.
  • Open Day Reflections come from our visits to 2026 open days. They're useful, but they reflect the school's own voice.

    Review Camps and excursions

Dont really have any to be honest excursions were pretty boring people did mostly stick to their groups but it was structured teachers did care about the kids learning just not many things you can do in brisbane to be frank.

Review Something only students would know

Students can/will hang at garden city before and after school. Honestly being located next to garden city is probably one of the perks of being at the school. After school you can eat out/play/study in the library/ grocery shopping etc

    Review Subject range and curiosity

It was adequately diverse however due to school timetables and teacher quantity, in senior year you will have to pick one subject over the other as classes can overlap each other. In terms of activities we would do science experiments or have excursions to bring in some practicality. Occasionally we would do charitable events and dress up for gold coin donations

    Review Would you recommend it?

If you are looking for a multicultural school, this is the one to go to. I was a music student and can say that the music department are very passionate about music. There were plentiful amount of opportunities to perform depending on which ensemble you are in. it can range from semi-annual school performances, workshops, music camp, visiting primary schools to perform, music fest, fanfare etc
