In their words
Which schools suit what your child loves?
Search for a sport, instrument, subject or worry to see which Brisbane schools people mention it at, and what they said. Tick up to three schools to compare them.

How we work these numbers out
- Order. “Best match” puts schools where your exact word comes up first. “Most talked about” uses the share of reviews that mention it. Neither is a ranking of how good a school is.
- Comes up in X% of reviews is the share of the school's reviews that mention your search. The Brisbane average is the same share across all Brisbane schools.
- Speak well, mixed or raise concerns is worked out by software, using only the sentences about your search. It's right most of the time but not always, so read what people said.
- What students did comes from the sports and activities former students ticked in their review. We show it when at least 3 answered.
- Evidence is strong when 5 or more of at least 10 reviews mention it, some when 2 or more people do, and thin when only one person does.
- Facts such as fees, ATAR and enrolments come from each school's own documents. Fees cover different year levels at different schools, so compare carefully.
- Open Day Reflections come from our visits to 2026 open days. They're useful, but they reflect the school's own voice.

Review Year 12 exam support
They provided an awful lot of support and considering only about 80 students were doing exams there were so many opportunities to have one on one meetings with teachers and guidance officers overall it was really good

Review Love of learning
As I said earlier the school had many other activities that were held for fun like maths competitions, writing competitions, stem competitions so there was something for everyone
Review Getting extra help
Tutoring is offered to everyone and in general classes were structured in a way that allowed us to ask for help and work with others as well as separately whilst being quite supportive and if extra help was required tutoring was available. In the lead up to our atar exams teachers often offered extra help and offered extra resources that they would mark and give personal feedback on
Review Readiness for life after school
The reason I put the academic ranking at 7 earlier is because bayside also put emphasis on the idea that university isn’t for everyone, so apprenticeships were regularly offered, as well as certificates and the school was quite accomodating. As for university they definitely had career planning resources but I believe they could’ve been better, but they definitely tried in terms of have career expos at school and having uni reps come talk to students, but in terms of study habits and things a like they weren’t very consistent
Review What had the biggest impact
I was very lucky to be a part of the stem program and academic excellence program which actually gave me a major confidence boost as it made me feel far more capable of achieving higher results and exploring new things, another aspect of highschool that shaped my experience and actually pushed me towards my current degree was taking part in a an ai for good hackathon, and due to the hands on approach from teachers I had many other opportunities arise from this such as going to Sydney to host our own Microsoft hackathon, I believe that I wouldn’t have been given this opportunity at many other schools
