In their words
Which schools suit what your child loves?
Search for a sport, instrument, subject or worry to see which Brisbane schools people mention it at, and what they said. Tick up to three schools to compare them.
1 school where people talk about subjects and senior pathways (with your filters).

How we work these numbers out
- Order. “Best match” puts schools where your exact word comes up first. “Most talked about” uses the share of reviews that mention it. Neither is a ranking of how good a school is.
- Comes up in X% of reviews is the share of the school's reviews that mention your search. The Brisbane average is the same share across all Brisbane schools.
- Speak well, mixed or raise concerns is worked out by software, using only the sentences about your search. It's right most of the time but not always, so read what people said.
- What students did comes from the sports and activities former students ticked in their review. We show it when at least 3 answered.
- Evidence is strong when 5 or more of at least 10 reviews mention it, some when 2 or more people do, and thin when only one person does.
- Facts such as fees, ATAR and enrolments come from each school's own documents. Fees cover different year levels at different schools, so compare carefully.
- Open Day Reflections come from our visits to 2026 open days. They're useful, but they reflect the school's own voice.

Review Year 12 subject choices
I chose general math, general English, design, physics, biology. I chose general maths because I tried out math methods and failed miserably so I had to do general. General English I chose because it didn't seem that hard but it very much was a challenge as it's not a strong suit for me design was my fun subject where we got to draw at a more sophisticated level and learn how to tailor to customers which was very fun. Physics I chose because I found a love for it but it did turn out to be a struggle however it did help me on my engineering journey. Biology I had to choose because there was nothing else that appealed to me. My choices were mainly pushed towards mechanical engineering and they did help me get there and I dont think I would change much.

Review Subject range and curiosity
Most interesting ones were one where you worked on a plane so something with mechanics, they also had design like art but more tailored towards learning how to tailor to customers, they also had some really cool history classes which I didn't take. There were also many activities during lunch and after school which were related to science technology and planes and UAV so there were many opportunities.
Review Year 12 subject choices
General Maths and English, Accounting, Business, Legal Studies, Cert II in Hospo. Respectively: I didn't need Methods for my degree; no reason; I had an interest in Accounting; I felt I should have done business as I was doing accounting (in hindsight should have chosen Geography instead - that's just me personally though); I enjoyed it the previous year; because it looked like a lot of fun, and it sure was.
Review Subject range and curiosity
The teachers gave the impression that they truly loved what subject they taught, which helped with engagement. The school also offered subjects through Distance Education for subjects they didn't have the facilities (or staff or student interest) for.
Review Chances to take part in the arts
I did design and the tools they had were pretty good, the class was very small so it was very intimate and interaction was a must, I wasn't even able to draw a 3d cube before this class and now Im able to draw cool pieces of furniture and cadets and know how to effectively help tailor to the customers needs, but there were also like 2 other arts related subjects art and drama sadly no film.
